Because it is so close to the equator, Bermuda has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 68°F to 92°F (19° - 33°C), and daytime averages about 84 °F (28°C). Although humid, (the average humidity is 71.5%), Bermuda benefits from cooling breezes from the north-easterly trade winds that blow throughout most of the year.
The temperature of the ocean surrounding Bermuda averages a very pleasant 80°F (27°C) all year-round, which along with Bermuda' clear blue waters, made calm due to the off-shore reefs encircling the island, make Bermuda a popular destination for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
If you are a scuba diver, or just enjoy snorkeling, the waters are often clearest and calmest during May, June, and July.
The average annual rainfall on Bermuda is 48 inches, which accounts for it's lush green rain forests. The wetter season runs from July to November. The Hurricane season is generally from August to October, and although serious storms are rare, they remain a possibility as with all other caribbean islands.
It's a good idea to inquire as to whether the resort you'd like to stay at on Bermuda has a "hurricane policy", and be sure to purchase trip insurance when you book, in case your trip gets cancelled or otherwise effected by a hurricane.
